It’s Mother’s Day weekend. My Mom is in town and we went hiking yesterday with my brother and sister-in-law. My Mom is a classy lady, she hikes in pearls. I’m not sure how she ended up raising a dirtbag like me but she’s the best.
I’m lucky to have an amazing Mom and two amazing Mothers-in-Law.
But I realize that isn’t the case for everyone so I have a different take on Mother’s Day.
For me, Mother’s Day weekend is a weekend where we celebrate not just the women who raised us, but ALL women who have loved us, mentored us, coached us, befriended us, believed in us, nurtured us, taught us, and been kind to us.
Mother or not all women should be celebrated this weekend.
Here’s how to enter. This giveaway will end on Sunday, May 14th at midnight (MDT) and the winner will be announced on our Facebook page early next week. May the odds be ever in your favor.
Happy Mother’s Day!
p.s. We have just 48 hours left to register for the Outdoor Mom Academy. This is our 6-week online class for parents and caregivers who are looking to learn new skills and develop confidence in adventuring with children of all ages. Registration closes Sunday night at midnight (MDT) and class begins Monday morning.
Here’s what a few women who have signed up for the class are already saying:
“I’m taking the class to refine my skills, learn from other inspiring outdoor moms, and to get some practical advice on the most important aspects of adventuring in the outdoors with kids. I’m particularly excited about the camping lesson, as our family is looking to make our camping trips easier and more organized. As my children grow, and we take on “more adventurous” activities, I also think the risk management lesson will be especially relevant.” – Kate
“Sound like fun? I hope so! This is something I should have taken years ago…especially the course on family first-aid.” –Kristen
“I can use all the help I can get when it comes to planning, preparing, choosing gear, packing, assessing risk, and raising a kid to love the outdoors. I also happen to LOVE learning! It was one of the big reasons that I started the blog – to continue learning and to share what I learn while on a year-long maternity leave. I am passionate about the outdoors, about raising kids wild, and about helping others enjoy the outdoors with their families. The Outdoor Mom Academy sounds like a great way to do all of the above and more!” –Monica
Don’t forget to head here and register by Sunday at midnight (MDT). See ya in class my friends!
