Mara here. I run and hike with my dog all time. But holding her on a leash leaves me without a hand free hand. And while hiking, the other hand is always holding my camera. I can definitely see where the Fitletic armband would come in handy. Annie, Brand Partnerships and Sponsorship Team Leader, tested the the Pace Armband. Below are her thoughts.
I was given the opportunity to try out the Fitletic Pace Armband and I must say I was a little excited about it. If you’re anything like me, you’re always looking for a more convenient way to carry your phone….everywhere.
I used the Fitletic Pace Armband at the gym and on the trail. Here’s how both applications broke down for me.
At the gym
The Pace Armband couldn’t have been more amazing!! I didn’t have to find somewhere convenient on each machine to place my phone or worry about leaving it behind. The convenient holes for my headphones means I didn’t have to leave it unzipped or worry with yanking the cord so hard the earbuds popped out of my ears or became disconnected from the phone. The feel of the Pace Armband on my arm while sweating took a little getting used to but now when I affix the Velcro strap to my arm, I know it’s time to get busy.
On the trail
This application of the Pace Armband was a little more difficult, mostly due to Winter weather. I had so many layers on during some hikes I couldn’t get the Armband secured on my arm. On these hikes, it stayed in the car after some frustration. I was able to use it more easily on warmer weather hikes as Spring approached then finally arrived. While I didn’t use the port for headphones on hikes, it was a handy to have my phone within easy reach or not to have to check several places to see where I had actually stored my phone for the moment.
The Fitletic Pace Armband brags a True Touch Window so you can use the touch screen on your phone without removing it from the Armband. This feature with my fingerprint enabled Moto Z was useless for me. The product descriptions states the Pace Armband fits iPhone 8, Samsung Galaxy S8 and similarly sized models, turns out the Moto Z is just a bit bigger than the Samsung Galaxy S8. My Moto Z at 6.04 x 2.96 x 0.20” just barely fit into the Pace Armband but it did fit.
On sale now at just $17.95 from Fitletic.com I would recommend purchasing one if, your phone will fit securely into the case (be sure to measure your phone with your aftermarket case installed) and if you do not have fingerprint identification enabled. The price is definitely worth it just for the gym application alone!
