Hiking can take a toll on your feet for sure! As hikers its nice to be able to pamper them. Ambassador Katheryn reviewed Colorado Aromatics Sole Pleasure Foot Butter. Below are her thoughts.
I am all about experimenting with products that allow me to pamper myself, as I’m sure many of you are too. So of course, I was very excited to have the opportunity recently to test out a foot butter made in my home state of Colorado. When a package showed up at my home from Colorado Aromatics, I was pleasantly surprised. It is clear that presentation and first impressions is important to this company. The packaging was lovely. I was sent the Sole Pleasure Foot Butter, Lavender Face and Body Mist, and some literature on all of the natural ingredients used in their “farm-to-skin” products.
The foot butter has a calming scent that reminds me very much of a spa. It is refreshing and not too strong or perfumy. I work on ladders and scaffolding quite a bit, chase after my two little kids, and hike and work outside of my mountain home, so sitting down at the end of the day for a foot rub with this soothing cream was quite nice. It has more of a greasy texture than creamy. Some prefer one to the other, and this consistency allowed me to massage my tired feet for as long as I wanted without needing to reapply. Dry spots were noticeably softer immediately after the first application. I also rubbed it into my nails and cuticles very well, which helped the dryness I experience in those areas.
My husband works on his feet all day in construction and hikes with me a lot, so I let him test this product out as well. He has minor heel fissures, something this product is meant to “soothe and soften”. After consistently using this rub on his heels before bed, he noticed some improvement. He did say that his skin seemed to respond more quickly to coconut oil than the Sole Pleasure Foot Butter.
My conclusion from both of our experiences is that everybody product may work a bit differently from one person to the next. This is a lovely brand of skin care products that I highly enjoy and look forward to using in the evenings to relax before bed. The bonus lavender mist that was sent to me is a new favorite of mine, with a calming and fresh feel to it. I definitely plan to try out more outdoor skin products by Colorado Aromatics, price just $10.95 for a 2oz tin.
