A good pair of hiking boots can make all the difference in the world for you hike. If my feet are miserable, I am miserable, and a good pair of boots can take care of your feet! Ambassador Laura Saufley reviewed Adidas Terrex Hiking Boots. Read below to see what she thinks.
When it comes to hiking, I’m pretty much still a newbie. I’ve loved hiking for a long time but I haven’t been serious about it until the last couple of years. I’ve slowly been adding things to my collection of hiking gear like a lightweight bag, a first aid kit, and some hiking poles. One thing I didn’t have that I really wanted was a good pair of boots. While I’m a firm believer that you don’t need any special equipment to go hiking, I knew that a good supportive pair of boots would come in handy for more treacherous terrain and would also be beneficial for my feet and joints.
Enter the Adidas Terrex Swift R2 Mid GTX Hiking Boots. I am in LOVE with these boots. I’ve borrowed boots before that were very stiff and clunky and I was worried that these would be similar and that it would take some time to break them in
Everything I thought I knew about hiking boots changed when I opened the box!
I like that they actually look more like high top tennis shoes than hiking boots. The material is soft and flexible and they’re super lightweight. They fit perfectly straight out of the box so I didn’t have to waste any time breaking them in. A couple days after they arrived our Hike Like a Woman Raleigh group met up for our monthly hike and I had the chance to put them to the test.
Since then, I’ve not only worn them hiking but I’ve also worn them on rainy days, on snowy days, and I even wore them on a shopping trip when I knew I would be doing a lot of walking.
I have never once gotten a blister and I can literally walk for miles and miles without my feet hurting.
–Fits great right out of the box. I typically wear a women’s size 8 in tennis shoes and the 8s are just right for me. I think they may run slightly large but they extra room in the toes will allow for thicker socks when needed.
–Great for all types of weather
–Stylish design, solid color
–The price may be a little steep for some. (I’m used to spending around $125 on tennis shoes so at around $135-150 I think the price is just right.) The price definitely matches the quality and I have no doubt these shoes will last me for a long time.
10 out of 10, I would definitely recommend these boots!
