Name: Bozenka Raich AKA Bosh
Hometown: Wanaka, New Zealand
Occupation: Carer in a rest home, Events Coordinator/Assistant and or any role to do with events, Personal Assistant and all around funny person (no not an occupation but I can’t help being cheeky!)
Favorite Local Hike: The Routeburn Track in the South Island of New Zealand. It passes through the Mount Aspriring National Park and the Fiordland National Park. This hike was my second overnight and it will forever be one of my favorites due to its spectacular scenery and the four great women I was with. It is a must see for everyone!
What Hike Like A Woman means to me and why I wanted to be part of this team: I stumbled across Hike Like A Woman on Facebook and it called out to me. Once I read all about the group on the website I knew I just HAD to be a part of this inspirational, incredible community. I am not an advanced hiker having only just discovered my love of the mountains and the great outdoors in 2014 when I moved to New Zealand from Australia. Hike Like A Woman makes me feel it’s ok to be me no matter what my level. The group of women encourage you and support you no matter what your background. I don’t need expensive equipment or to have done this from when I was 2 or even to have grown up in the outdoors. No matter who I am this community of women inspires me and brings together people from all around the world. I wanted to be an Ambassador and part of the Hike Like A Woman team because I want to be able to inspire others just like these gorgeous women do. To put a smile on someone’s face or a boost in their step, to be able to reach out to others and let them know no matter who you or where you are getting outdoors can make you feel alive again even if it is one step at a time. The world truly is an amazing place and with a community of women having your back, you can live your dream of conquering those mountains!
